Site Update #3.

TOD (that’s Tao of Defiance, of course, or alternatively the Taopartment of Defence, if you so prefer) is halfway through Beta week and coming together nicely. The site seems to have some layout issues in earlier versions of Internet Explorer, although fine in IE7. If anyone is having problems viewing anything on the site or if anything seems broken, please let me know via the Contact page or just leave a comment.

The site is best viewed in Firefox – you can download it by following a link on the side panel.

I am trialing a spam filtering plugin for comments. Its called “Did you pass Maths” and asks you a simple maths question when a comment is entered. This is to stop spambots. Seems easier than restricting comments to registered users only or having one of those squiggly word entry “can you type in whats this says?”, “ah no, I think I just won’t bother” thingies. Besides,I figure a little reader patronization at the moment of comment entry can only play in my favour. Let me know how you find it!

Site update.

Under ConstructionHave been making rapid progress on the site over the past week. After spending many hours looking through themes in search of a good 3 column one the choice has been narrowed down to a few worthy contenders. Also working on smoothing out some conficts between some of the plugins that have been installed. Regular posting to follow later this week, when the visual aspects have been finalised.

I will post a list of the plugins used and any conflicts found, at some stage. One plugin that doesn’t seem to play well with others is WYSIWYG . Have not tracked down what it is conficting with – there are multiple conflicts. An obvious one was the Tiger Style Administration plugin, but even without TSA the enhanced editor continued misbehaving.
